The latest spy-shot of the all-new Audi Q8 has revealed almost everything about the car thanks to minimal camouflage. And when we look at it, we just cannot keep ourselves from thinking about the Lamborghini Urus. Here is why.
The Audi Q8 has been built on the same platform as the Porsche Cayenne, the Bentley Bentayga, the Audi Q7 and the Lamborghini Urus. But unlike the Bentley, the Audi Q8 is a coupe SUV, much like the Lamborghini. The sloping roof-line and the rising shoulder-line aren’t as dramatic as they or on the Urus.
The Audi Q8 is being built as an SUV to rival against the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe and it will be positioned above the Q7 in Audi’s scheme of things. It will get slim headlamp and tail lamp units to add to its sporty design and this is evident in the spy pics.
We still haven’t had a peek inside the car, but being the new range-topping SUV, you can expect the cabin to match that of the all-new Audi A8. Which means interactive displays screens all around, including the instrument console and the centre console.
Set to debut at Detroit early next year, the Audi Q8 is likely to land on Indian shores soon after, while we still await the SQ7.
