A while ago, we had told you that Audi is planning to expand its Q-range of vehicles and is expected to build even numbered models between the existing ranges of vehicles. Now, more details have emerged on the Q6, the largest car in the new breed and one that is expected to rival vehicles like the BMW X6 as well as a new Mercedes-Benz crossover that is set to make its debut next year.
The Q6 will be based on the same platform that will underpin the next generation Q5 and is expected to follow the same coupe styling on crossover body that the Q5 embodies. It is expected to use similar set of engines albeit in a higher state of tune. Reports suggest that the car will be manufactured at the German automakers facility at Martorell in Spain.
Meanwhile, It has emerged that Audi has so far added 12 more shifts to it Neckrasulam plant and is planning to add more next month in response to increased demand for the A6 and A7 models globally.
