- Likely to get a 2.0-litre petrol that generates around 249bhp

In January, Audi launched the new Q5 in India which is larger, edgier, lighter and better equipped than its predecessor. However, at that time, it offered with a diesel powertrain only. This time around, the premium German car manufacturer will be launching a petrol variant in India on 28 June. Based on the MLB Evo platform, the SUV uses a lot of aluminum and high strength steel in construction, which has resulted in the vehicle shedding almost 90kgs over its predecessor.
The upcoming Audi Q5 petrol is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre engine that will generate around 249bhp of power. Although engine details remain unknown for now, it is expected to come mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and get the Quattro all-wheel-drive system as standard. The petrol variant is expected to get features similar to the diesel variant which gets a virtual cockpit with ambient lighting, large infotainment screen with MMI function and Audi Drive Select as standard.
We also anticipate that the Audi Q5 petrol version will also get features such as the panoramic sunroof, electric leather seats, parking assist with rear camera and three-zone climate control. Moreover, the SUV offers a large 510-litres of boot space and comes loaded with an electric boot opening, cruise control with a speed limiter, eight airbags, LED lighting and Matrix Beam headlamps.
