Audi has confirmed that it will hike the price of its compact crossover, the Q3, by two per cent, from October 1. This translates into a raise of over Rs 50,000 on the price tag of the SUV. Commenting on the hike, Michael Perschke, director of Audi India, said "due to economic upheavals and rupee devaluation, we have increased the price by 1 to 2 per cent on both the high grade and base grade version of Audi Q3 2.0 TDI."
Despite the hike Audi is still confident of selling 8,000 cars by the end of the year and suggests that sales of the Q3 will contribute significantly to this number. The Audi Q3 currently retails at Rs 28.73 lakh for the base model and Rs 33.35 lakh for the top end variants.
