Audi will launch the facelifted version of the Q3 tomorrow at an event in Delhi. This is the latest iteration of the crossover that gets some cosmetic changes to differentiate it from its predecessor.
The fascia of the new Q3 sports a new single-frame grille and a restyled bumper with comparatively larger airdams. The headlamps are refurbished and will be offered along with optional LED lighting. The pattern for the alloy wheels is new, while at the back, the SUV's bumper also gets some minute changes. In the cabin, the interior comes with new accents for the dashboard and door trims. Additional features include a reverse camera and a retractable screen for the MMI infotainment system.
There are no mechanical changes to the Audi Q3 facelift and it employs the same 2.0-litre TDI four-cylinder diesel mill. This unit churns out 177bhp of power and 380Nm of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed S-tronic gearbox and power is delivered to all the wheels through the company's quattro all-wheel drive system.
The camouflaged test mule of this Q3 was spotted abroad exactly a year ago and tomorrow the car will be finally launched according to Audi's aggressive plans for the Indian market. They launched the Audi RS6 Avant in India last month, and their next launch will be the Q3 facelift tomorrow. It was back in 2012 when the crossover was introduced in India as a CBU unit. In 2013, Audi India started locally assembly of the product at its manufacturing plant in Aurangabad. The new Q3 facelift will also be produced at this plant and will go up against the BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class in our country.
