Audi Prologue concept sketch gets leaked

Audi first teased the Prologue concept in the middle of last month. Earlier known as the A9 concept, this new creation has been leaked in the form of what looks like the official drawings. The public debut is scheduled later this month at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.   

The Prologue concept shows off Audi’s new design language. Conceived under the company’s new design head Marc Lichte, the concept, in all probability, will preview the design of the new range-topping A9 model. 

Audi says that the LA-bound concept car marks a new beginning in the automaker’s design – both exterior and interior. According to Marc Lichte, Head of Audi Design, the upcoming range of models will be immediately recognisable as Audi’s, starting with the signature single frame grille and the sleek pair of headlights. 

The production-spec A9 is expected to be launched in the next three to four years. The vehicle will sit above the existing A8 as the brand’s flagship luxury model. Going by Audi’s existing S line of high-performance cars, one can also expect the S9 model to eventually join the A9 range.
