With aim of strengthening its foothold in South India, Audi has inaugurated a new dealership in Madurai. Called Audi Madurai, the dealership is located on the Madurai-Dindigul national highway of the temple city and is the German manufacturer’s third touch point in Tamil Nadu.
Spread over an area of 40,000 sq ft, Audi Madurai is a 3S (Sales, Service and Spare part) facility which integrates the showroom as well as the service facility. The showroom has an 8,300 sq ft display area to showcase eight cars and has been designed according to Audi’s global terminal architecture. It also features a lounge set-up with an informal seating, video walls and state-of-the-art interiors and lighting. The showroom will house Audi’s entire range, right from the A3 sedan to the Audi R8 supercar. The inauguration also witnessed the launch of Audi’s two-seater sportscar, the TT Coupe, which was introduced at Rs 62.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Madurai).
Speaking during the dealership’s inauguration, Mr Joe King, the head of Audi India said, “In the recent past, we have witnessed an exponential surge in demand for luxury cars coming out of Tamil Nadu. Opening a third showroom in the third largest city of the state is the next logical step after Chennai and Coimbatore. Audi Madurai will enable us to command a leadership position in the state and also act as a catalyst towards our dominance in the Southern part of India.”
