Audi India is offering large discounts on their entry-level cars like the A3, the A4, the A6 and the Q3 before the GST regime is applied from July 1, 2017. With little clarity on whether the GST benefits will be passed on to the existing stocks, Audi India is aiming at clearing them before GST is implemented.
The entry-level diesel variant of the Audi A3 Premium Plus TDI comes with a discount of about Rs 3.5 lakh, with minor variations across cities while the Audi A4 diesel Technology trim is being offered with a discount of Rs 6 lakh. Audi’s executive sedan, the Audi A6 diesel, is attracting the largest discount of more than Rs 7 lakh in both Delhi and Mumbai.
Amongst SUVs, Audi has listed only the Q3 for a discount of about Rs 4 lakh. The larger SUVs like the Q5 and the Q7 haven’t been listed, but if you are planning to get one, you can certainly eke out a couple of lakhs at least from the price tag before July 1. The offered discounts also might turn out to be higher if you can bargain your way.
The second quarter of the calendar year is generally slow moving for car sales and the dealers do offer attractive schemes to lure in buyers. Luxury car manufacturers like Mercedes are also offering discounts on their cars in the form of added freebies.
