Audi launches R8 V10 plus for Rs 2.5 crore

Audi India has launched the R8 V10 Plus supercar for Rs 2.5 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). This is the Ingolstadt based automaker’s flagship supercar and follows the standard 2014 R8 V10 that was launched for the Indian market in February. 

The R8 V10 Plus is powered by the same Lamborghini derived V10, but is tweaked to produce 557.6PS and 540Nm –  the standard car has power rating of 532.3PS and 510Nm. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a seven-speed DCT gearbox and Audi’s own Quattro four-wheel drive system.  In terms of numbers, the R8 V10 Plus does 0-100 in 3.5 seconds and will go on to hit a top speed of 317kmph making it the fastest production car in Audi’s line-up.

The changes to the exteriors include a redesigned bumper and some weight reduction through carbon fibre parts. The R8 V10 Plus has also been fitted with carbon Ceramic brakes for better stopping power. The interiors get the same features as the top-end spec standard car but now with a 100 litre storage space behind the seats.
