Audi India team has bagged the second place in International Audi Twin Cup 2019 championship. With this win in the Twin category, this is the third time in a row that a team from Audi India has secured a podium position. In both 2017 and 2018, an Audi India team had won the first and second rank for ‘Technology’ category. Audi Twin Cup is an in-house competition where Audi dealers across the globe compete against each other on the basis of their service expertise and technical knowledge.
A total of 57 teams from 29 countries participated at the international Audi Twin Cup 2019 championship held in Mainz-Wiesbaden, Germany. During the two-day event, participants demonstrated their advisory skills and technical expertise in typical customer situations ranging from the check-in inspection to diagnosing hidden defects and carrying out repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
The year 2019 marked the 15th time that the Audi Twin Cup was held with participants being judged on both practical skills as well as theory through a quiz. A total of nine awards were presented with the top three winners being selected in each category - ‘Technology’, ‘Service’ and ‘Twin’. The ‘Twin” category combines both Service and Technology and is, therefore, considered to be the most important one. In this category, Japan bagged the top position, followed by India in the second position, of course. The third spot on the podium was achieved by the service technicians and advisors from Australia.
In the ‘Technology’ category, the team from Turkey performed impressively to win the first place, the team from Finland stood second while the team from Canada took third place. In the ‘Service’ category, Team Germany took the top position, followed by team Russia in the second place and team United Kingdom in the third place.
Speaking about the Indian team’s accomplishment, Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India, “Achieving the 2nd place globally amongst such tough competition shows the service expertise and technical knowledge of the Audi India teams.
