Audi India has announced a growth of 21 per cent growth in its sales in India for the month of August as compared to the same period last year. The growth is backed by the launch of the cut price Q3S SUV which has registered 125 bookings of the day of its launch in India.
Overall the company sold 875 units in August and 6426 units cumulatively from the beginning of 2013 as against 726 units and 5406 units respectively. The SUV range from Audi is particularly liked by the Indian market with the Audi Q3 also sharing a similar success story of the Q3S when it received 500 bookings in the first five days of its launch in June 2012.
Audi is set to prep up its India line up with the launch of a more powerful A4 sedan soon, which will be followed by the highly anticipated A3 sports back which will compete with the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and the BMW 1 Series.
