With the festive season already in motion, the car manufacturers have upped the ante by offering various festive benefits, discounts and special editions on their vehicles. This time, it’s the German car manufacturer Audi who announced a special edition of their best-selling compact SUV Q3 called the Q3 Dynamic Edition. Only limited to 101 units across India, the Dynamic Edition is priced at Rs 39.78 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
So the limited edition is based on the top-spec Q3 and gets an aggressive front bumper which is lowered a bit with an added lip spoiler. There are chrome accents on the front grille. And a most noticeable difference is the paint colour finishes on the wheel arches, bumpers, and side rocker mouldings.
On the front doors there is a carpet lamp projecting the Audi logo, called the Audi e-LED. Audi’s signature LED headlamps with dynamic turn indicators is an interesting feature, these indicator turn signals illuminate sequentially within two-tenths of a second from the inside out in the direction the driver intends to turn. Then at the rear, the tail lamps are a clear lens unit. Completing the special edition is the Quattro label on rear doors.
The car remains powered by the same 2.0-litre TDI four-pot diesel engine producing 175bhp and comes mated to a seven-speed S-tronic gearbox sending power to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, via paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. The Dynamic Edition also comes with the Audi Drive Select, MMI navigation system, and parking plus with rear view camera. Audi sound and infotainment system which comes with two SDHC slots, a 20GB jukebox, Bluetooth connectivity and music interface. Also standard on the Dynamic Edition is the LED interior lighting package, power adjustable front seats, tangent aluminium inlay, and aluminium inserts on control switches.
Safety is taken care of with ABS, EBD, traction control, Hill start and descent Assist, Auto-dimming mirrors both inside and out, flat tyre indicator and six airbags.
