Fuel efficiency is likely to be one of the priorities for most buyers of the Audi A6 ultra, but on this occasion it is nothing short of crucial because a possible Guinness world record title depends on it. Audi has revealed that its running an A6 ultra model on a road trip, aiming for the title of the most number of countries driven to on one tank of fuel
The car will be piloted by British motoring journalist Andrew Frankel and racing driver Rebecca Jackson. The road trip will begin in Maastricht in the Netherlands, and will continue through Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Germany and Italy towards the Balkans.
As for the A6 TDI ultra, the model is being offered as a saloon or Avant (station wagon) and with either manual or S-tronic twin-clutch transmission.
Audi says the route has been planned to avoid the economy-sapping effects of congested towns and cities and mountainous regions.
