Audi could reveal new electric crossover at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show

The forthcoming 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show could host the debut of an all-new electric offering from Audi. According to a few reports, the German carmaker is expected to showcase an electric crossover concept based on the MLB architecture.

Audi CEO Rupert Stadler has been reported saying that the production of the concept-based vehicle could eventually be as much as 10,000 units. Furthermore, this new crossover model could even be offered as a petrol as well as hydrogen fuel-cell model.  

There’s still quite some time, though, before this electric crossover comes into reality as production is expected to commence in 2018. Audi, in all probability, will be looking to take on the Tesla Model X which is also currently under development.
