While we are familiar with Audi’s supercar-beating RS6 estate, few are aware of the car’s less insane though still potent sibling – the S6 Avant.
It’s the pair of exhaust pipes that give away the secret – these are our spy shots of the new Audi S6 Avant, likely to debut in 2019 with the standard A6 which is to be launched this year. While the new S6 is going to lose some weight over the current model, true growth happens under the bonnet as the 2019 model will likely get more power.
The current S6 makes 450bhp from a twin turbo 4-litre V8. The new S6 Avant, on the other hand, is likely to feature a V6. The smaller capacity motor, though, will be big on torque just like the new RS4 Avant.
