Audi India has introduced Connected Car technologies in the country, intending to enhance the buying and ownership experience of customers. Under this, the German carmaker has introduced a host of tech-driven solutions for owners as well as dealers under the digitalisation strategy. So here are four things to know about Audi’s Connected Car technology:
myAudi Connect App:
Similar to Volkswagen Connect, the myAudi Connect App js a platform that supports all the cloud-based telematics solutions that customers may need. Audi owners can access the vehicle information via this mobile app which is very similar to Hyundai's Blue Link and MG's iSmart services. This will be spearheaded in the upcoming A8 L and A6 sedans and can be retrofitted to all Audi vehicles from the 2011 model year. This telematics service is available for a subscription fee of Rs 19,999 for three years.
App Services:
Divided into five key areas, the App services focus on – safety and security, driver’s behaviour, lifestyle, geolocation, and utility. The myAudi Connect mobile can send SOS alerts in case of an accident or call for roadside assistance in the event of a breakdown. The geolocation notification can be configured depending on the usage. The utility service provides a platform to book vehicle servicing appointment and review service history records. The driver behaviour system can analyse different parameters like acceleration and braking and can send an alert if the vehicle is in idle for too long. Lastly, the lifestyle service provides users with audiobooks, podcasts and music from various streaming platforms along with other concierge services.
Digital Retail
At the dealership, the customers can experience various Audi technologies intuitively through virtual reality. With the help of VR, prospective buyers can get extremely realistic in experiencing their individually configured car, down to the last detail. The customer can not only see the car from outside, but can also sit inside and also use the various in-car controls. Audi dealership can also provide the same virtual experience at customer’s choice of location, be it office or home.
Audi Shop:
Audi shop is another online service for the customers supported by a helpline. Also part of this service is a host of merchandise options that the customers can buy online instead of visiting the dealerships.
