-Â will work on a new platform called Premium Platform Electric
-Â will underpin the upcoming Porsche Taycan and the Audi e-tron Sportback
While the world is working towards making bread and butter EVs, Audi and Porsche are thinking ahead and have decided to come together to make a premium range of electric cars. Calling it the premium platform electric, it will spawn a series of models across segments. The parthership will also form the basis of the upcoming Porsche Taycan and the Audi e-tron Sportback expected to be unveiled in November.
The partnership is taking place as part of the Volkswagen Group, which will also see Audi work with Volkswagen on the modular electric platform set to underpin its A-segment vehicles going forward.
This collaboration is sure to take EV technology to the next level and the first cars on this new platform should be out by 2021.
