German premium car manufacturer, Audi has discreetly introduced the 35TDI variant of the A5 Sportback at a price of Rs 55.42 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). A few years ago, the company had introduced new two-digit badges that reveal how much power each model produces. This time around, the A5 Sportback gets an affordable and slightly less powered 35TDI variant which will be sold alongside the 40TDI variant.
Changes are limited to power output figures as compared to the 40TDI variant. The Audi A5 Sportback 35TDI is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 188bhp at 3800rpm and 400Nm at 1750rpm of torque. The engine comes mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The feature list is the same as the 40TDI variant.
The Audi A5 sits between the A4 and the A6 and is available in Sportback and Cabriolet body styles. The vehicle continues to get standard safety features like ABS with EBD, traction control, cruise control, parking aid plus with rearview camera, tyre pressure monitor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and anti-theft wheel bolts.
