Audi’s Malaysia official dealer Euromobil had the A3 sedan on display at the Starlight Cinema in Bukit Kiara, Malaysia. The model on display was the top-of-the-line 1.8T Quattro.
It is more of a promotional activity before the launch and there aren’t many details on the car in Malaysia. However, the source has to add a few details based on the car that was on display. It seems like the 1.8 T in Malaysia will be available in Sport (non-S line) trim, and will get xenon headlights (the full-LED headlights could be an optional extra), front and rear parking sensors and 17-inch “Dynamic” split-spoke alloy wheels.
The car (1.8 T) will get full Milano leather upholstery, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters. It gets electrically-operated front seats, automatic lights and rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, navigation, cruise control, a stop-start system and the Audi drive select system which changes the throttle response and suspension set up according to the mode.
The A3 in Malaysia will be available with an option of two turbocharged petrol engines, a 1.4 litre engine produces 138bhp and 250Nm and a 1.8 litre engine producing 177bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both the engines will be mated to a seven-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission.
The A3 is one of the eagerly awaited luxury cars to be launched this year. The car has been testing on Indian roads since a few months now and it has often been spotted without camouflage. There isn’t any official information on the launch date, but rumour has it that the car maybe launched in August.
