German automaker Audi has expanded its range in India with the launch of new A3 Cabriolet which is priced at 47.98 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The new soft top version boasts of lightweight construction, best-in-class safety, comfort and performance. The new A3 Cabriolet is expected to lure in more of young buyers who have been eagerly waiting for a luxury convertible.
The new four seat convertible is powered by 1.4-litre TFSI cylinder on demand (COD) engine that temporarily shuts-off the cylinder when the engine is operating at partial load. The fairly powerful engine generates 148bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. Interestingly, the automaker claims that the A3 Cabriolet returns an impressive fuel economy of 19.20 km/l.
In terms of dimensions, the new A3 Cabriolet measures 4,423mm in length, 1,793mm in width and 1,409mm in height. The vehicle gets a long wheelbase measuring 2,595mm for that sporty proportions. The front gets new lighting graphics with jagged bottom edges, while the rear gets redesigned taillight with a distinctive configuration. Additionally, it also gets dynamic turn signals which are installed in LED rear lights.
As for interior, the A3 Cabriolet sports three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and tweaked centre console. Along with Milano leather upholstery the vehicle gets electrically retractable MMI screen with a 7-inch colour display which is 11mm thick. As for features, it gets dual zone air conditioning with sun-light dependent control, Audi parking system with front and rear sensor and a rearview camera. As for safety it gets five airbags and ABS with EBD.
