Following its unveiling at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Aston Martin’s track-only supercar – the Vulcan recently made its first public run at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.
The 800bhp-plus, all-carbon fibre Vulcan showcased a bit of its potential by a few quick runs up the famous hill climb with Aston Martin Racing works’ driver Darren Turner at the wheel. The Vulcan is powered by the most potent iteration yet of Aston’s naturally-aspirated, 7-litre V12 engine and all of that power is sent to the rear wheels through a race-bred rear mid-mounted six-speed sequential shift gearbox. The car can sprint from rest to 100kmph in less than three seconds, and hit a top speed of more than 320kmph.
The new Vulcan is a strict limited edition creation with just 24 examples ever to be made and sold across the world.
