Aston Martin has revealed Valkyrie AMR Pro, claimed to be the world’s most extreme hypercar. Adrian Newey, a popular Formula One designer, is the brainchild behind the design with collaboration from Red Bull Advanced Technologies and project partner AF Racing. Only 25 units of the Valkyrie AMR Pro hypercar will be manufactured and deliveries for the same will commence in 2020. Sadly, all the cars are already sold out.
Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro is powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated Cosworth-built V12 engine which produces close to 1000bhp of power. The vehicle is reportedly capable of reaching a top speed of 402kmph. Moreover, reports further indicate that the vehicle is capable of handling cornering forces in excess of 3.3g and is capable of decelerating even quicker. The performance figures are stated to match the lap times of modern Formula 1 or Le Mans Prototype. The hypercar also gets F1TM inspired race-spec carbon-carbon brakes which are suited for extreme track use.
Speaking about the vehicle, Dr. Andy Palmer, President and Chief Executive Officer, Aston Martin said, "Valkyrie has always been about pushing the limits and redefining the possible. The road car will set new benchmarks for performance, engineering and technology - a hypercar in the truest sense - and with the track-only Valkyrie AMR Pro those limits will be pushed further still. It's a remarkable project."
