What you're looking at is the Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante, a gorgeous convertible spawn out of the design cues of the brand’s own standard Volante and the Vanquish Coupe.
Powering this beast is the same 6.0-litre V12 motor that’s now a norm with the entire Aston Martin line-up. However, it has been tweaked to make more than 600bhp for the European market, unlike the 580bhp that the rest of the markets will get. Reports claim that the car can hit 100kmph from standstill in less than 3.5sec, before going on to post a staggering top speed of 323kmph.
In addition to the 20bhp it gets over the standard Volante (570bhp), this iteration has a more refined eight-speed Touchtronic II gearbox, four exhaust end-pipes and reworked inlet manifolds. The combination of aluminium and carbon fibre along with superior construction allows this supercar to weigh just 1,739kg, and also boasts of a weight distribution of 51:49 per cent (front/rear).
Though there’s no word on the pricing yet, expect the Vanquish S Volante to have a price tag that’s slightly higher than the Coupe. Stay tuned.
