Aston Martin has taken the covers off its newest creation – the DB9 GT. Poised to become the brand’s most compelling production ‘DB’ to date, the DB9 GT will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this week.
The DB9 GT is the most potent version of the DB9 gran tourer yet, thanks to its uprated 6-litre V12 engine putting out 545bhp of power and 620Nm of torque. The engine is mated to the proven rear mid-mounted Touchtronic II 6-speed transmission. It allows the GT offering to accelerate from rest to 100kmph in 4.5 seconds, and on to a top speed of nearly 300kmph.
Aside from the subtle GT badges, this new DB9 is identified by black painted splitter and diffuser, revised headlight and tail light treatments and ten-spoke, 20-inch alloy wheels. Black brake calipers and a GT engraving on the aluminium fuel filler cap further distinguish this new model from the rest of the DB9 range.
The DB9 GT is now on sale globally, with prices starting from £140,000 (Rs 1.40 crore) in the UK, €187,000 (Rs 1.33 crore) in Germany and $199,950 (Rs 1.27 crore) in USA.
