Aston Martin has officially unveiled its limited edition super sedan - the Lagonda. It will be launched in mid-2015 and will be available only in the Middle-East markets for now. To further add to the ‘richness’ pedigree and exclusivity of the Lagonda’s image, sale is strictly only by invitation!
Inspired by the manufacturer’s original sedan (with the same name) launched in the 1970’s it will be built on the company's VH architecture, which also underpins most all its models. There are rumours that it will be powered by a 5.9-litre V12 from the Rapide S which churns out 550bhp and 63.2kgm in the Rapide and the power figures is expected to match or better this output. Expect it to get the same six-speed ZF transmission and power might be sent to the rear-wheels.
Although, there are no pictures of the interiors, we expect Aston to load it with the best leather and wood trims. Also, expect a high level of customisation to suit the tastes of the lucky owners.
It is highly unlikely that Aston might launch it in India, but there is a possibility if they decide to venture out of the UAE markets.
