The Aston Martin AM RB001 has been in the works for more than a year now. The hypercar is being built with Red Bull F1 team and Adrian Newey taking care of the aerodynamics. According to reports, the hypercar will now be called the Valkyrie – old Norse for the one who chooses who gets to die on the battlefield and who doesn’t.
Keeping the ‘V’ name tradition going forth, the Valkyrie will join the Vulcans and the Vantages in the Aston Martin garage. The Valkyrie is powered by a bespoke Cosworth V12 and is expected to develop close to 1000bhp of power in tandem with the electric motors. It will also get the Formula 1 inspired KERS technology to boost the output along with the F1-inspired bodywork.
