-The DBX will be the first-ever SUV from Aston Martin
-The model is set to be revealed in December this year
British marquee Aston Martin has begun sharing teasers for the DBX SUV ahead of its unveil that is scheduled to take place later this year. The DBX will be the first-ever SUV for the brand once launched early next year.
A fair number of high-end automobile brands have begun introducing SUVs, such as the Bentayga from Bentley, the Urus from Lamborghini and the Cullinan from Rolls-Royce. These will be followed by the Aston Martin SUV, codenamed the DBX, while Ferrari too may introduce a brand new SUV sometime later.
Coming back to the Aston Martin DBX, the model will be based on an all-new platform that will also underpin future fully-electric Lagonda models. The teaser video released by the brand reveals the signature Aston Martin grille and LED DRLs positioned below the headlamps cluster on the bumper. Also on offer will be a new headlight design.
Propelling the new Aston Martin DBX SUV will be the same 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine as seen on the Vantage and the flagship model, the DB11. This engine is expected to produce a power output of approximately 503bhp. Bookings for the DBX have already begun and the model will be unveiled in December this year.
