Finally, after almost over a year of speculation, the Aston Martin DBX SUV has got its debut scheduled for the last quarter of next year i.e. 2019. Like all sportscar marquees, Aston Martin has also taken the SUV route and it seems that the development has been on track.
Aston Martin has recently trademarked ‘Varekai’ and it seems it has been earmarked for this SUV. Aston Martin has continued the tradition of naming their cars after Norse gods and this luxury SUV will be built on an entirely new platform.
While it started off as an electric SUV, it was announced that the SUV will be powered by a rather conventional hybrid powertrain in April, earlier this year. The SUV will be built at the new facility in St. Athan which will be in operation starting 2019 alongside new prototypes.
