It is a new Aston Martin in the making and of course it will create ripples before its debut. To be revealed officially in a few days at Geneva, the internet has given away the DB11 to us. With the new studio-like images matching the leaked pictures over the past month, the Aston Martin DB11 looks stunning and classy.
The creased and muscular bonnet fuses into the trademark Aston Martin grille. The timeless silhouette of a long hood two door coupe sits pretty as you take a look from the sides. The intake scoops on the bonnet and on the side fenders near the wheel arches indicate the generous amount of power stacked within. The tail is classy with the LED lamps wrapped around the integrated rear spoiler. The DB11 looks like most other Astons, big, bold and beautiful.
The DB11 will be powered by the new 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 petrol engine. This is the first time that the British marque is going the force-induction way and the results sound interesting. Estimated to develop around 600bhp of power, the V12 has been developed with help of Mercedes AMG. The DB11 will carry forward the front-engine rear-wheel-drive layout like its predecessors and will be available with a dual-clutch automatic transmission built to shift gears before you can blink an eye.
The performance figures and details should be out by the end of this week as the Geneva Motor Show commences. The Aston Martin DB11 will take a dig at the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the Lamborghini Aventador and Porsche 911 Turbo.
