It is touted to be one of the most spectacular Bond movies to be made in the last few years. Yes, we are talking about Spectre which will be released for the Indian market on November 25. While obviously James Bond is the hero, the other bit of eye candy in the movie is a brand-spanking new Aston Martin DB10 designed and built for the movie.
The Aston Martin DB10 was designed in just six months once it was confirmed that the British automaker’s cars would be stars in the movie. It has all the hallmarks of the AMV design like the grille, headlights, tail lamps and silhouette but looks all business and British thanks to the low slung stance and dark paint scheme.
However, underneath all this ‘00’ awesomeness is basically a V8 vantage whose 4.8-litre V8 produces 313bhp and 470Nm of torque. In the movie it is believed that Q tells Bond his car does 0kmph-100kmph in less than four seconds but in reality this number is closer to 4.7 seconds.
We have seen a few shots of the cabin and it looks spectacular! The two-seat space is filled with luxury, leather and carbon fibre. The steering wheel is sporty and sits in front of a rather unique looking instrument cluster. Going beyond the world of cloak and dagger (or in this case a Walther PPK) the DB10 is also a sample of what we can expect from the Aston Martin in the future.
Spectre staring Daniel Craig in the titular role of James Bond will hit screens in India on November 20 in multiple languages.
