Aston Martin has unveiled the CC100 speedster concept car as a part of centenary celebrations. The two-seat race car has been designed on the British sportscar makers DBR1 Le Mans Race car that won the Iconic French race in 1959. It has a classic shape but has been given modern design cues, engine and underpinnings.
The car is made entirely of carbon fibre and is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 mill that is mated to a six-speed automated manual gearbox. While the great AM have has not revealed the output for the engine or the torque figure, they say that the car is capable of doing 0-100 in under four seconds and then will go on to hit a top-speed of 290kmph. Thanks to the carbon fibre the car weighs exactly 1.2-tonnes.
The car’s astronomical figures are only matched by its incredible price which is believed to be in the range of 770, 000 (Rs 4.2 crore) to 1.5 million USD (Rs 8.2 Crore). Unsurprisingly, the company has only made one unit of the CC100 that has already been sold to an, we believe, an existing Aston Martin owner.
