Aspark, a company based in Japan is all set to debut its ‘Owl’ electric supercar at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The sparkling detail about this performance-oriented EV is the shocking 0-100kmph sprint which it has claimed to have finished in less than two seconds!
Yes, you read it right. This thrusts it to the top of the list, beating cars like the Bugatti Chiron and the Tesla Model S P100D (ludicrous mode). Now, let’s get back to the car. The ‘Owl’ wears a full carbon-fibre body shell, stands less than one metre in height and also comes shod with magnesium alloy wheels to keep it light. As of now, this is the only information that’s available and what you see are the official renderings.
The ‘Owl’ looks more of a track-oriented application thanks to the low profile, huge side air-dams, a large front splitter, and that atrocious rear wing which is supplemented by a carbon-fibre diffuser. However, we also can’t help but notice the road-going car features like the normal seats, the big A-pillar mounted rear-view mirrors and the gullwing doors. Stay tuned to CarWale for more details on the Aspark Owl when the Frankfurt Motor Show gets going next week.
