Ashok Leyland, the Chennai-based CV manufacturer, unveiled a new customised version of Stile called Stile Luxury Edition at the Auto Expo. This four-seater edition is positioned above the regular Stile and aimed at buyers who need a premium vehicle for long distance travel.
Ashok Leyland has done away with the second and third row seats and replaced them with two customised captain seats. This has translated into improved legroom as well as a humungous boot for the two passengers. This car also features a chromed front grille and added reflectors to the rear. Rest of the car isn’t much different from the regular Stile. The powertrain has also been retained, it is Renault’s 1.5-litre common rail diesel engine which produces 75bhp of power and 185Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
Launched in October last year, the Stile is an MPV which shares Nissan’s NV200 platform with the Evalia. The regular version is available in either seven-seater or eight-seater configuration. Prices start at Rs 7.49 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 9.29 lakh for the top-end car
