After few extensive teasers couple of months back, Apollo Automobil has dropped another teaser of their new IE hypercar. The IE is an acronym for Intensa Emozione and the hypercar will celebrate its global premiere on 24th October.
In the latest teaser, the carmaker has showcased the fully carbon-fibre chassis of the IE. The Denkendorf-based carmaker talking about the all-new chassis says, “It allows for maximum torsional rigidity, safety and the ability to create a lightweight and aerodynamically efficient shape.” Sitting snugly inside this full carbon fibre chassis will be a bespoke naturally aspirated V12. Power output will hover somewhere around 800bhp and will reminiscent the howl of Formula 1 engines of 1995-2005.
The small teaser video also gives us a glimpse of wide, aggressive aerodynamic body kit, bucket seats with harness, large rear wing, Gull wing-type doors, the triad of centrally-mounted exhaust tips and a Fighter Jet style ignition switch. The hypercar will tip the scale at around 1360kg and with the massive power plant; expect the IE to be a ferocious performer.
The Intensa Emozione will have a limited production of just 10 units with a high level of customisation for exclusivity. Apollo presented the production-spec IE to a selected group of ‘enthusiasts’ in a private and highly exclusive event held in London last month. When introduced to the real world, the Apollo Intensa Emozione will join the leagues of Koenigsegg Agera, Pagani Zonda, Lamborghini Veneno, apart from the holy trinity which includes – McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari.
