Much has been shown, written and said about the new Mercedes-AMG four-door and it looks like, just like us, even the folks at AMG cannot wait for its debut. So here is yet another teaser of the Mercedes-AMG.
Mercedes-AMG had almost revealed the entire body of the car with the previous set of teaser images where the camouflaged model was strutting its aerodynamic prowess. Even then, except for the styling and the shape, there are hardly any details available. Now although Mercedes likes to still call it the GT Coupe, just like Porsche doesn’t want to call the Panamera a sedan, it is ideally the first sedan from Affalterbach. It has got the latest vertically slatted AMG grille and the sharp cut bumpers. The coupe roofline is well known and so is the massive rear diffuser.
But what goes under the hood is still a mystery. Because we are not sure if it will be a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged 500-odd bhp setup like the two-door coupes or will it get the more powerful hybrid setup which is also based on the same engine. On the other hand, we can’t stop ourselves from drawing parallels between the AMG GT Coupe four-door and the recently launched Mercedes-Benz CLS 53 AMG, both being performance oriented four-door coupes. Wait for a couple of days more as we bring all the dope from its unveiling in Geneva.
