- The fascia design is very similar to the new Amaze to be launched soon.
- The Small concept is the latest Honda hatch to get the RS treatment
- India-launch might be slated for 2019
Honda unveiled a new concept at the Indonesia International Motor Show earlier this week. Called the Small RS Concept, the petite hatchback gets design cues from the recently unveiled Honda Amaze compact sedan. The last Small concept unveiled back in 2010 had preceded the first-gen Brio.
The Small RS Concept gets aggressive RS styling with a two-part front grille and the large chrome slat in signature Honda fashion. The side gills and the hood scoop along with blacked out side skirts and the large wing in the back add an element of sportiness to its already aggressive demeanor.Ā
Although no details about the interior have been divulged yet, it is likely to be similar to the AmazeĀ“s interiors with sporty bucket seats instead. As for the mills, the 1.2-litre, 89bhp i-VTEC engine is a standard with its five-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. With the car sales in India tilting back towards petrol, we think the Brio might remain a petrol-only car. All the same, having a diesel option would certainly widen its appeal to the everyday commuter.
