The next generation Hyundai i10 has been caught testing in Artic Circle, where it is possibly benchmarked against the Volkswagen Up. The next generation i10 will be manufactured in India and will be simultaneously launched in India and Europe by the end of this year.
The images show that the new Hyundai i10 has grown in length and width and continues to get the traditional fluidic design treatment. The new hatchback will also get an efficient diesel engine for both domestic and export markets. However, this new model won’t replace the current i10 in India. We expect this car to be positioned between the i10 and the i20.
It means that the new generation car will get a different name in the Indian market. Also the prices of the current i10 will be slashed a bit and Hyundai may finally bid adieu to the Santro. The all-new generation car with an oilburner will compete against the Ford Figo, Maruti Ritz and few other upcoming models including the VW Up!.
