Celebrating its 108th anniversary this year, Alfa Romeo has been known for its unique styling, performance, technology and driving pleasure. This time around, at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the company will offer opportunities for owners to customise their Alfa Romeo besides showcasing the brand’s evolution towards more extreme performance.
Alfa Romeo will showcase the Nurburgring Editions of Stelvio Quadrifoglio and Giulia Quadrifoglio sporting the ‘NRING’ badge. The company will manufacture only 108 units each, one for each year of the history of Alfa Romeo. This special Nurburgring Edition celebrates the SUV's capability of doing a lap of the legendary circuit in 7 minutes and 51.7 seconds, the fastest time ever in its class and the record-holding standard production four-door saloon recording with a lap time of 7 minutes 32 seconds. The Nurburgring Edition Stelvio is powered by a 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo petrol engine delivering 502bhp and 600Nm of torque. The SUV has a top speed of 283kmph and accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.8 seconds. The Giulia four-door sedan has a top speed of 307kmph and accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 3.9 seconds.
The new limited edition cars will have exclusive contents, including a numbered badge in the carbon fibre dashboard insert and a Circuito Grey livery. Built on the standard Quadrifoglio specification, the ‘NRING’ special series includes carbon-ceramic brakes, Sparco racing seats with red stitching and carbon shell structure, Mopar automatic transmission knob with carbon insert, leather and Alcantara steering wheel with carbon inserts as standard. Moreover, the front badge and the mirror caps are reportedly made of carbon fibre, like the side skirt inserts. The package is completed with the inclusion of tinted windows, active cruise control, Harman Kardon premium audio package, and Alfa Connect 3D Nav infotainment system with 8.8-inch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and DAB. The Giulia version also includes a new bare carbon roof.
Alfa Romeo will also showcase the 4C ‘Competizione’ and ‘Italia’ special series at the Geneva Motor show along with the Giulia Veloce Ti, Giulia Super and the Stelvio Super with the new Performance Pack.
