After the 4C and the 8C Alfa is all set to unveil its next sportscar which will be dubbed the 6C. Pogea Racing, based in Germany with a recent history tuning and modifying Alfa Romeos, posted the claim on its Facebook page on the weekend. An early 2020 launch is being targeted, while a concept previewing the car will reportedly debut at a motor show this or next year.
If the new car follows the naming convention laid out by the 4C and 8C, which had four- and eight-cylinder engines respectively, the new model should be powered by a six-cylinder motor. Given the fact that the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio both employ a Ferrari-designed twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 engine, it’s likely this new model, should it come to be, will use the same mill to achieve economies of scale.
