Alfa Romeo was in news for quite a while for the achingly beautiful Giulia, the Italian brand’s much-awaited luxury model. The mid-size sedan, in fact, amassed immense interest online back then especially for the hot 503bhp version and now, it has finally gone into production.
Alfa Romeo has started making the Giulia in its Cassino plant near Rome. The first ever buyer of the model – a grey coloured diesel car – is said to be an entrepreneur from the city of Cassino.
Alfa first unveiled the Giulia in its high power Quadrifoglio form, complete with a 503bhp turbocharged V6 engine. Later on, the brand revealed the regular range which will actually compete with the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes C-Class.
The Giulia is now in production and is headed for showrooms across bits Europe. Sadly, we will not be getting it anytime soon as Fiat has no plans of introducing Alfa Romeo to the Indian masses for now.
