Following its run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last month, Alfa Romeo has announced the UK pricing and specification for its first ever SUV, the Stelvio. The prices for this new model start from £33,990 (Rs 28.39 lakh) on-road.
Alfa Romeo has revealed that four trim levels will be available from September including the Stelvio, Super, Speciale and the limited production Milano Edizione. At launch, buyers will be able to choose between two engine versions – 2.2-litre 210hp diesel Q4 AWD and 2-litre 280hp petrol Q4 AWD – combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
The 2-litre 280hp engine offers best in class acceleration, going from zero to 100kmph in just 5.7 seconds. The 2.2-litre 210hp diesel meanwhile, accelerates from zero to 100kmph in 6.6 seconds. From September the Stelvio will also be available with a 2.2-litre diesel engine, producing 180hp and available in both all-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive, and a 2-litre petrol engine, with 200hp and all-wheel-drive. The Stelvio is the lightest mid-size SUV in its segment thanks to its lightweight body structure and carbon fibre driveshaft, coming in at 1,604kg for the 2.2-litre diesel and up to 1,660kg for the 2-litre petrol 280hp.
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio will be in showrooms in the UK starting September, with prices ranging between £33,990 (Rs 28.39 lakh) and £43,990 (Rs 36.74 lakh) depending on the variant.
