Airtel, the title sponsor of the Indian Formula One race last year and this time as well, has signed a partnership agreement with the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team for the Buddh F1 GP. The telecom company's branding will feature on the airbox and headrest of the Mercedes F1 W03 car, and of course on the suits and helmets of the drivers for the race.
The two brands also have a marketing campaign planned during the run-up to the race and during the race as well. Part of the campaign is a television commercial featuring the drivers Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg. The Indian edition of the 2012 Formula1 will be the round 17 of the season and dates for the grand prix are 26 to 28 October.
