Audi India’s race talent, Aditya Patel and teammate Mitch Gilbert, have never left the Shanghai circuit empty handed in the past. This weekend, they aim to keep their record going at the iconic F1 circuit for the penultimate round of the Blancpain GT Series Asia.
Although the Indo-Malaysian pair of Patel and Gilbert have had a tough season so far, failing to score any podium finishes in eight races, the team believes to have rectified the issues with their car over their two month summer break.
The grid comprises of 24 cars from seven different manufacturers. But what essentially makes it one of the most competitive championships in the world today, is the fact that it attracts drivers from DTM, V8 Supercars, Formula One and some of the top GT3 drivers too.
Aditya Patel added, “Unfortunately, it’s been a year to forget so far. Strangely, the data shows that Mitch and I are driving better than we ever have, but the results just aren’t there. So, I’m looking forward to jumping back in the car again! I’d like to thank Audi India and Audi China for their continued faith and support in us.”
