- Tiguan AllSpace likely to be unveiled at 2020 Auto Expo
- The model could initially be offered only with a petrol engine
Volkswagen India will launch the new Tiguan AllSpace in India next year. The model is expected to make its Indian debut at the 2020 Auto Expo followed by a launch later in the year. The company is likely to discontinue the standard Tiguan to make way for the AllSpace variant.
Unlike the standard Volkswagen Tiguan which is available in the five-seat format, the AllSpace variant is offered in a seven-seat format. Compared to the standard version, the Tiguan AllSpace variant measures 4,701mm in length while the wheelbase stands at 2,787mm. All other dimensions remain unchanged.
Details regarding the engine specifications of the Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace remain scarce at the moment. However, the model may be offered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine while a diesel mill could be introduced later. Transmission duties will be handled by a seven-speed DSG gearbox. Volkswagen has not revealed any specific launch date, though we expect the Tiguan AllSpace to be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo followed by the launch in the next few months.
