- New Creta front design leaked
- The model is expected to borrow engine options from the Seltos
The second-generation Hyundai Creta has been spotted once again. New spy images reveal new crucial details of the upcoming model that is expected to be unveiled in India early next year at the 2020 Auto Expo.
As seen in the spy images, the new generation Hyundai Creta carries out the same design as seen on the second-gen ix25 (Creta for the Chinese market) with a split headlamp design at the front and a split tail light design at the rear. Also visible is the signature cascading design grille although it features four horizontal slats unlike the honeycomb design on the China-spec model. The headlamp clusters have integrated DRLs while the unit above it features DRLs and turn indicators. The fog lamps are halogen units.
On either side, the next-gen Creta retains a similar profile with blacked out B-pillars while the alloy wheels now receive a new design. A significant highlight of the test-mule is the panoramic sunroof. Also on offer will be LED tail lights and a shark fin antenna. Inside, the test-mule is equipped with dual tone seats with a black and beige theme. The model is also expected to come equipped with features such as the BlueLink technology, larger touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.
Engine options on the 2020 Hyundai Creta could include a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine borrowed from the Kia Seltos. A 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit cannot be ruled out either. Transmission options are expected to include the same six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.
