- Will be showcased on 11 November
- New Octavia RS to get a powerful 2.0L petrol motor
- Will get redesigned exteriors and interiors
The next-gen Skoda Octavia RS has been leaked online ahead of its global debut next month. Last week, the new Octavia had leaked via an online car configurator, which partially revealed its design. Besides the mechanical changes, the new Octavia will feature a few design tweaks to go with its sporty demeanour.
It will feature a blacked-out radiator grille, smoked LED headlamps, sportier alloys and red brake callipers. The Octavia RS will also get a front splitter and tweaked side skirts. And among other things, it is also expected to get a boot-lid spoiler and RS badging on the tail-gate and front grille. While the interiors aren’t revealed yet, the Octavia RS is likely to feature an all-black cabin, Alcantara leather upholstery, and sporty front seats with RS badge. It is also expected to get new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with a ‘Sports View’.
Although the engine specs aren’t out yet, the new-gen Skoda Octavia RS is expected to be powered by the same 2.0-litre TSI petrol motor, but in a higher state of tune. The current model makes 242bhp and 350Nm and is mated to a six-speed DSG. The Octavia RS will be officially unveiled on 11 November and is expected to go on sale in the global markets in early 2020. The car is expected to make its India foray towards the end of 2020.
