After a long hiatus, Audi has launched the eighth-generation A6 in India for a starting price of Rs 54.20 lakhs. The German luxury car manufacturer has introduced the updated model in the country with a new striking exterior and a host of new features. The new model is limited to a BS-VI compliant petrol engine. Read below to know why you should buy the new Audi A6.
What’s good about it?
The new Audi A6 is among the most handsome looking sedans produced by the German carmaker. The new angular LED headlamps are flanked by a large grille which gives it a mature appearance. This is the first variant of Audi to get a dual touchscreen setup in the centre console. Although the new model has the same length as its predecessor, the cabin length has been increased by 21 mm and the rear legroom by 17 mm. Moreover, the new model also offers more headroom - 8mm in front and 11 mm at the rear. The new A6 gets driver assistance systems which includes – lane departure warning and Audi Park assist with front and rear parking sensors.
What’s not so good?
The vehicle is limited to a petrol engine option for now, while diesel might be introduced later depending on the demand. The lower-spec Premium Plus misses out on some features like the Matrix LED headlamps, LED rear combination lamps, multi-colour ambient lighting, four-zone automatic AC, B and O premium 3D sound system and more.
Best variant to buy?
The feature loaded top-spec A6 Technology variant is a terrific option as it has all the features that one would expect in this segment. The lower spec Premium Plus might prove to be a good option for commercial aggregators.
