After tasting success with the Hector in India. MG is working on its electric car project, the ZS for India. The vehicle will be showcased at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo event. MG claims that the single-zone climate control features a PM (Particulate Matter) 2.5 air filter, to provide filtered air in the cabin. A particulate matter is a mix of fine pollutants that are not visible to the naked eye but are present in the atmosphere.
MG Motor has been extensively testing in the electric ZS in India. At the time of its launch, the single-zone climate control is expected to offer the best of cabin air quality in the country. Interestingly, the new model is also expected to be the first electric vehicle in the country to feature connected-car technology. Apart from this, the feature list in this upcoming model will include keyless entry with push-button start, an eight-inch infotainment system, cruise control, steering-mounted audio controls as well as a multi-info display. Additionally, we also expect to be offered with the i-SMART connected-car technology.
The international spec MG electric ZS gets a 45.6kWh battery that powers the electric motor to generate 148bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. The battery pack supports fast charging and is reportedly capable of attaining 80 per cent of charge in just about half an hour. On a full charge, the electric SUV is expected to offer a driving range of 428kms.
