Few days back Mahindra confirmed that the compact MUV based on the Xylo platform (currently known as the Mini Xylo) will be called the Quanto. The utility car major has now confirmed that the much awaited sub-four meter car will be launched on 20 September.
The Quanto will be the smallest passenger vehicle in the Mahindra range, with the length and engine specs making it eligible for small car tax rates. The vehicle is essentially a five-seater, but Mahindra may provide foldable third-row as option.
The Quanto will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine – either the 1.5-litre four-cylinder from the Verito or the new 3-cylinder 100bhp engine based on the mEagle. For more details and images of the Mahindra Quanto, check our Upcoming cars section.
