Toyota had launched the new Toyota Innova Crysta earlier in May this year. In just about a month, Toyota has reportedly sold over 7,000 units of the new Innova Crysta. The impressive sales numbers has resulted in 44 per cent growth in sales in comparison to sales figures for the same period last year.
With this, the Toyota’s Innova brand has reclaimed its title of ‘Best-selling MPV’, from the Maruti Ertiga. Toyota has reportedly received over 20,000 bookings for the Innova Crysta. The numbers are indeed impressive given the fact that the Innova Crysta is not available for sale in Delhi NCR region, which has been a strong market for Toyota until now.
The Innova Crysta has been offered in two engine options – a five-speed manual transmission option which generates 150bhp of power and 343Nm of torque and a 2.8-litre engine which comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission to generate 174bhp and 360Nm of torque. The smaller engine claims to return a fuel efficiency figure of 15.1kmpl, while the bigger engine returns 14.29kmpl.
The Innova Crysta is available in G, GX, VX and ZX variants. The automatic option is available in only the GX and ZX variants. In terms of safety, the Innova Crysta gets ABS, EBD and three airbags (dual front and knee airbag) as standard.
